On Aug. 24, 2015, Life Care Centers of America presented Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan, Colorado, with the Facility of the Year Award for its Mountain States Division.

The award was presented during the company’s annual management meeting at its headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee. It recognized the facility as the premier location in the division, which includes 30 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Hawaii.

Criteria for this award include excellent customer service, a strong activities department, an active volunteer program and involvement in the community.

Valley View Villa, led by Executive Director Brittany Staley, was especially praised for its well-maintained grounds, its involvement in local American Cancer Society and Alzheimer’s Association fundraising, its low associate turnover and its customer service.

“Standing alone on the eastern plains of Colorado, this facility exemplifies the possibilities of synergistic teamwork encircling a laser-focused vision,” said Dan Gauger, vice president of Life Care’s Longs Peak Region. “The associates are upbeat and helpful. The residents look great, are engaged and are complimentary of the care and services provided.”

“We congratulate Brittany and her team of associates who, together, have developed such a strong facility,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “The residents and rehab patients at Valley View Villa are the real winners as they benefit from the works of love performed by the team every day."
