Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan, Colorado, celebrated Halloween this year by hosting associates’ children and the public for trick-or-treating.
Residents were posted at various points around the facility with bags of candy, and paper footsteps were placed on the floor directing the children along the trail.
Brittany Staley, executive director; Jana Underwood, director of nursing; and Shaun Thompson, on-site physician, dressed as Barbie and Ken dolls from the 1980s (boxes included). They posed and handed out treats to the children too. The nurse management team dressed as the witches from the movie “Hocus Pocus,” and Cheyann Stevens, social worker, was Snow White.
Residents enjoyed a party with treats and games. The activities department assisted them with making Troll hair headbands, so everyone had a costume.
“The residents enjoyed the children dressed in their costumes, and on a cold Colorado day, the children had a warm place to roam,” said Gayle Steffen, admissions director.
