Valley View Villa is located in Fort Morgan, Colo., approximately 80 miles to the northest of Denver. The county seat of Morgan County, Fort Morgan offers a local economy based in agriculture. For a day trip, we suggest:
- The City of Fort Morgan’s website offers information on the history of the city, as well as events and amenities offered.
- The James Marsh Arch Bridge, or Rainbow Bridge as it is called by locals, is an 11-arch concrete bridge built over the South Platte River in 1923. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks and is the only rainbow-arch design in Colorado.
- The Pawnee National Grasslands sprawls across the plains from Fort Morgan to the northeast section of Weld County. The Pawnee Buttes, eroded columns of sandstone, rise more than 250 feet above the plains.
- The I-76 Speedway offers all the thrills and excitement of dirt track racing. The 1/4-mile speedway features approximately five divisions every Saturday evening, including late models, street stocks, mini stocks and trucks.
